Kitutu Chache South is constituency number 269 which was created in 2013 when the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) split the former Kitutu Chache Constituency into two. Bogeka Ward is officially Ward No. 1342 in this constituency. The constituency has five wards: Bogeka, Kitutu Central, Bogusero, Nyatieko and Nyakoe.
The constituency is located west of Kisii County Headquarters and borders several other constituencies including Karachuonyo, Bonchari, Kitutu Chache North, Kitutu Masaba, Nyaribari Chache, West Mugirango and Kasipul. Historical data shows that Bogeka had 4,067 registered voters when it was part of the former Kitutu Chache Constituency.
