In May 2024, Kenya Power connected electricity to Mwema village in Bomachoge Borabu constituency for the first time since Kenya’s independence.

Kisii County has 1,132.598 km of classified roads and 435 km of rural access roads. While 170.848 km are tarmacked and 292.55 km are graveled, 669.2 km are earth roads. The county’s hilly terrain makes road maintenance challenging especially during rainy seasons.
