Rural electrification is being invested heavily in Mbeere North, 10 projects valued at KSh 53.73 million are being implemented by Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation. These include:
- KSh 18.5 million Ciathia project.
- KSh 4 million Karerema/Evurore project.
- KSh 6.7 million Kanyaga B/Gitiburi project.
- KSh 18.1 million Cierie project.
These are part of the government’s plan to achieve 100% electricity connectivity by 2030, improve quality of life and enable economic activities that require power.
